New Futures for Birmingham`s Historic Buildings

Friday Photo: New Hall Mill

Today’s Friday photo is of New Hall Mill in Sutton Coldfield. I recently attended their heritage open day event and got chance to look around the mill and its grounds and take some great photos! I took so many I didn’t know which one to use for the Friday photo, but I thought the above captures the beauty of the mill and the millpond. The New Hall Mill, is a Grade 2 listed building, and is one of only two water mills still surviving in the Birmingham area. It has been wonderfully restored to working order by the New Hall Watermill Preservation Trust. They produce their own flour too. It is privately owned so they only open it on several occasions through the year.
