New Futures for Birmingham`s Historic Buildings

Friday Photo- Summer Row (peek-a-boo BMAG)

Have you noticed how Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (BMAG) is now visible from Summer Row? It was almost like it was trying to say hello through the snow and dark sky this morning, having been hidden away from view for so many years. As much as I miss Central Library, it’s undeniable that the view of BMAG and the Town Hall is a welcome addition, but, it’s a shame it won’t last when the Paradise development starts. Soon this view will be gone once more, so I say, grab a camera, or take a seat at the local Shakespeare Pub (which is very good by the way) and admire this fleeting view. It seems that Birmingham’s skyline is forever changing, but I suppose that goes hand-in-hand with our great city’s motto, ‘Forward’, doesn’t it? I’ll leave you to decide about that. But for now, I’m going to enjoy the wonderful view, while it lasts!
