MoonstoneToday’s Friday photo is of the lunar stones, which were commissioned to commemorate the famous Lunar Society. ┬áThis was a society made up of members of prominent midland industrialists, philosophers and intellectuals, which included James Watt and Josiah Wedgewood.┬áNine lunar stones were commissioned to commemorate the members of the Lunar Society. These stones currently stand in the grounds of Asda Queslett, a short walk from Great Barr Hall, one of the many meeting places of the society.
