Friday Photo: Zombie Apocalypse Barwick Street

This week’s Friday photo is a little different from the usual, as it shows a Birmingham street set up for the Hollywood Zombie Apocalypse Movie She Who Brings Gifts. As I strolled through Birmingham earlier this week I saw the hive of activity happening around Church Street, with mock zombie bodies lining the streets and dusty abandoned vehicles strewn haphazard across the street. Actors, film crew and interested onlookers filled the scene,  but I managed to find a quieter part of the set to take this snap of Barwick street outside of the old Eye Hospital (Hotel du Vin). The street looks really quite eerie with an abandoned red bus gathering dust just outside the old outpatient entrance of the hospital.  The film stars Glenn Close and Gemma Arterton and should be out sometime next year, so look out for the shots of Birmingham!
