This weeks Friday photo is of the stunning Victoria Pub which sits proudly on 48 John Bright Street in the City Centre. Its a theatre pub and dates back to the 19th Century. On a sunny day the gold letting around the door and frontage of the building looks wonderful. Its full of character inside and good example of one of Birmingham Victorian pubs.

Old pubs are under threat you can read more about this in a recent blog post on Britain’s Victorian pub heritage  and work being done by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA)

Birmingham has a very interesting pub heritage I recently came across these fantastic old images of lost pubs of Birmingham.

Thanks for featuring us, she takes a lot of care and attention but she’s worth it- a beautiful building.
