The Friday Photo – Marble Angel Brandwood End Cemetery

This weeks the Friday photo was taken in Brandwood End cemetery which was opened in 1899 and features a close up photograph of one of the fine marble styled angel memorials that can be found there. The memorial was for Willam Adams JP (1857 to 1911)and his wife Martha. I looked him up when I got home and turns out he built “Sorrento” in Moseley where he lived with his wife. This later became a community maternity hospital – lovely set of old photographs from the hospital is on the Birmingham Mail website.
