Introducing Laira Piccinato and Joe Turner!

Laira and Joe

We’re in the Rose Villa Pub in the JQ with Suzanne, Development Officer for the trust (having hijacked her log-in!)…

Just doing some WordPress training. Here’s a bit about us…

Joe: I’m a town planner from Stirchley, very interested in the heritage of Birmingham, and in particular civic and industrial heritage. And old pubs!

Laira: I’m an architectural consultant and Director of the Birmingham Architecture Festival. I have a particular soft spot for the derelict ruins on Legge Lane in the JQ and the Duddeston Viaduct in Digbeth and I’m into anything that shouts about Birmingham’s rich history and heritage.

    Hi Joe,
Did I see that your great uncle was Harley Llewelyn Turner? He was my grandfather. My sister, Pauline is a keen family historian and would love to hear any details you may know about our grandfathers war record.
