Birmingham Conservation Trust are currently preparing the Activity Plan for the Heritage Lottery Bid for £1.3m to restore the former Stirchley Baths and bring the building back into use as a community building. Place Prospectors are also part of the development team for the lottery bid and are holding an event on Saturday 8th June. If you are local to the baths or passionate about saving this important part of Stirchley’s historic landscape then please do come along.

Artist Jayne Murray, one half of community Interest Company Place Prospectors, tells us:

“The flourishing of the building relies not only on funding to repair the derelict baths building, but also on people to use it. We will be creating a balloontastic experience on the bowling green behind the derelict Stirchley Baths building where anyone can help turn sink into swim and help make this building a success.

Join us on 8 June 11 – 1 for a unique Stirchley experience”.
