In the last few weeks we have told you about Heritage Angels, Heritage Heroes and now we’d like to introduce you to…..Heritage Dragons!

HERITAGE DRAGONS 2012: APPLY NOW TO TAKE PART!

Are you the driving force behind a heritage-led regeneration project? Are you developing a sustainable end-use for your project that will benefit the community for years to come? Are you facing barriers to obtaining investment? Would your project benefit from expert advice and great publicity? If so, apply to be part of an exciting event taking place in London in September: Heritage Dragons 2012.

The ‘driving forces’ chosen to attend will be mentored for the day by experts from fields including private investment, public funding, local government and community activism. Each ‘driving force’ will also be supported by their experts to pitch to a panel of Heritage Dragons. The Dragons will declare the project with the best pitch the winner on the day! Sadly, they won’t hand over any money; but you will gain expert advice, contacts and exposure for your project. What’s more the event will help the heritage sector devise practical solutions to overcoming the barriers to investment in heritage.

This event is supported by organisations including Alliance Members the Architectural Heritage Fund and the Prince’s Regeneration Trust, alongside English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The aim is to build a more resilient model for investment in heritage in the current challenging economic circumstances.

To put forward your project for this event, please fill out the entry form and return it toheritagedragons2012@gmail.com by 23rd July 2012. You will be informed in August if your project has been selected.

If you know of a project that might benefit from this event please pass on this message and entry form.
