Trustee wins major award!

Posted April 4th, 2012 by Birmingham Conservation Trust with 1 Comment

One of our fantastic Trustees, Nick Booth, who sadly will be leaving the Trust later in the year, has just won a major Big Society award for his work with social media surgeries.  Run through his company Podnosh these free surgeries teach people from local community and voluntary organisations the skills to communicate better, create connections and change society through the use of social media.

Nick is a genuine pioneer in his field and has been advising government for some years now on how social media can used to improve democracy.

I would recommend anyone from a community groups or small charity to go along and have a go at his social media surgeries. You meet lovely people and learn at lot!

Well done Nick, how ever are we going to replace you?
