We aren’t blowing our trumpet (well, only a bit) – these comments are from visitors who had a wonderful time on Friday and Saturday – Heritage Open Days – on tours of Newman Brothers Coffin Fittings Works. They delved into its rich industrial and social history and we explained our plans for the future. The sun shone and our tours were full.
Shabana Mahmood the local MP paid a visit on Friday and is delighted that Birmingham Conservation Trust is taking this project forward for the benefit of the local community.
Our very grateful thanks to all the volunteers who helped us clean up last Wednesday and who manned the gate and dealt with enquiries. You are wonderful and we couldn’t open our doors without you.
Apologies to those people who couldn’t get on a tour this time – keep an eye on this web site for details of other events.
