Alistair McGowan becomes a patron of the Friends of Brandwood End Cemetery

What an extraordinary piece of news that brings a smile to my face.  Friends of Brandwood End, the charity we have been working with to find a viable way to restore the Chapels at Brandwood End Cemetery in Kings Heath has just told us that the impressionist, actor and comedian Alistair McGowan is their new patron. They report on their blog

Amongst Alistair’s lineage, there are thirty plus family linked members interred at Brandwood End Cemetery and this together with the 1700 plus ‘Brandwood End’ trees and Alistair’s existing patronge with ‘Trees for Cities’, provides an ideal backdrop to Alistair’s new FBEC patronage.

Congratulations.
