UK Association of Building Preservation Trusts turns 21

The UK Association of preservation Trusts  was established in 1989 to promote and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its members, Building Preservation Trusts.

To celebrate its 21st anniversary, the UK Association of Building Preservation Trusts uses its latest News (issue 29) not only to round up the achievements of the Building Preservation Trusts over the last year, but also to review their scope and scale over the past 100 years – and in particular the last 21. There have been many success stories in terms of projects completed, projects nearing completion and projects just commencing….. Newman Brothers.

Birmingham Conservation Trust (founded in 1978) is one of over 250 Building Preservation Trusts. The latest edition of News includes an article titled ‘New direction for heritage charity as it acquires Birmingham’s famous Coffin Works’ (page 25) which highlights the purchase of the Newman Brothers Coffin Works by BCT and the future plans for the site.
