Founded in 1978, Birmingham Conservation Trust is one
of over 250 building preservations trusts in the UK.
The Trust is a registered independent charity and a
company limited by guarantee with a separate trading
arm. We are funded partly on a revolving fund basis
i.e. from surplus generated by the sale or lease of
restored properties and partly from project management
fees. We receive in kind support from Birmingham City
Council.
As a charity we are eligible for funding from the Heritage
Lottery Fund, as well as other public bodies and private
charitable trusts. Low interest loans and feasibility
study grants are available to the Trust through the
Architectural Heritage Fund.
