Birmingham Town Hall restored

The £35m re-working of the town hall is attracted some attention, especially from photographers using the internet website flickr to display their pics. The shot above is from focalplane, who says:

what a beautiful job has been achieved in restoring the Anglesey Granite that was fast corroding in the industrial atmosphere that used to pervade the West Midlands conurbation.

You may remember that for many years now the town hall has actually looked like this (thanks to photographer doeth):
